The village of Olympoi is locating in the south-western part of Chios. It is the next village afterwards Pyrgi, which we meet when we driving from Chios. This village is like Pyrgi and Mesta, one of 21 Mastichochoria of Chios. Its distance from the city of Chios is 32 kilometres.
The village is built above a hill, in the middle of a valley. The area of agricultural region of Olympus is roughly 13.000 acres, from which 4.200 are farmable. The rest is poor soil and full of bushes. Most of the village permanent residents occupied on agriculture. Their main products are gum, wooden horns, figs, cereals, oil, wine and few fruits. In our days, the farmable lands are close to the village.
