The cavern of Olympoi

The cavern of Olympoi (or cavern of Sykias) is one of the most important and most beautiful Greek caverns. It is located 8 kilometres from the Olympoi village, on the road to Agia Dynami.
The cavern depth is 57 metres and is full of wonderful stalactites and stalagmites. In certain points they create big and high columns of stalactites. It is dated on the later Jurassic Period (before 150 million years), while it should completed at Cenozoic Era (roughly before 50 million years).
It was discovered and explored in 1985.
